Secrets Akumal 1 1/2hr south of the Cancun airport but well worth the drive. This stunning property sits on a lovely half moon cove beach where you can walk a total of 40 min in either direction and you can even swim with the turtles year 'round! The resort sits next to a public marina and just 4 minutes walk into the small town of Akumal.

POOLS:

The adults only resort is thick with vegetation and has three pool areas - one for fun with activities including a swim up pool bar, the next for a more quiet, laid back vibe and the last for a "zen" like quiet where you can totally escape and get away from everything!

DINING:

The 9 dining venues include 6 gourmet a la carte choices and a coffee house! The food and service is excellent as are the premium brand drinks served. 24hr room service is available as you will fall in love with the warmly decorated Jr. suite accommodations. You can even upgrade to a swim up room or a master suite!

COVID Protocols:

With their "CleanComplete" verification process I felt very safe in knowing that the staff are properly trained, wearing masks and know how important it is to keep things sanitized and healthy for their guests. I felt safer at Secrets than I do at home in a grocery store or local restaurant. Guests were being conscience and wearing masks when going in/out of indoor restaurants. When outside and at the pool and beach it is fun in the sun as usual!

My tip would be book now and don't forget your sunscreen! This is a very popular resort and with the current government restrictions of allowing of up to 60/70% occupancy, they will be heavily booked for 2021. This restriction allows for proper social distancing and plenty of space to spread out!
